The EP doesn't only envelope the classic sounds of synthesizers, but tries to use the pricipal of ADSR as a philosophical metaphor for dividing different parts of experiences. These experiences don't have to be musical in nature, yet the EP explores this concept musically: as any experience divided into four parts:

Attack - the gradual increase to the peak of experience
Decay - rushing down trying to find a more stable position
Sustain - holding on at a steady level of intensity
Release - letting go and easing off

Attacking a new Hobby, Decaying into routine, Sustaining the routine, Releasing the pressure.

Attacking your oppenent, Decaying into Chaos, Sustaining your Resources, Releasing the oppresion.

Attacking the night, Decaying into a state of Trance, Sustaining in this state for as long as possible, Releasing yourself back into reality.

Attacking your life, Decaying into comfort, Sustaining in numbness, Releasing your ego.

Attacking...Decaying...Sustaining...Releasing

Envelopes can be applied in both directions, creating different sounds in synthesizers. Concerning the philosphical approach this direction of envelope iis a metaphor for the nature of the experience being active (as in "I'm doing this") vs. passive (as in "This is happening to me").
